Utah Insurance Continuing Education for Life and Health Professionals
Utah insurance professionals must stay current with CE requirements to maintain an active Life and Health license. At NobleCE, we offer approved online courses designed for flexibility, accuracy, and compliance with the Utah Insurance Department's latest rules.
What Is Life and Health Insurance CE
Continuing education helps Life and Health agents keep up with regulatory updates, ethical guidelines, and specialized training. NobleCE’s courses cover the full range of CE needs, including annuities, long term care, ethics, and classroom equivalent formats.
Who Must Complete Insurance CE in Utah
All resident Life and Health producers in Utah must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years. Your deadline is the last day of your birth month in your renewal year. Of the 24 required hours, at least 12 must be completed through online classroom equivalent format. The remaining hours can be classroom equivalent or self-study.
Ethics training is also required. You must take 3 hours of ethics CE as part of your 24-hour total.
Do I Need Annuity or LTC Training
If you sell annuity products, you must complete a one-time 4-hour best interest annuity course before making any sales.
For long term care insurance, Utah requires a 3-hour initial training course. To continue selling LTC, agents must complete a 3-hour renewal course every licensing cycle.
Is There a Final Exam
Classroom equivalent courses do not require a final exam. If you take self-study courses, you must pass a final exam with a score of at least 70 percent. Exams are open book and may be retaken if needed.
Mobile Friendly CE Designed for Busy Schedules
NobleCE’s classroom equivalent and self-study courses are fully mobile accessible. Study from your phone, tablet, or desktop whenever and wherever it’s convenient for you.
Classroom Equivalent CE Makes Renewal Easier
Because Utah requires at least 12 hours of classroom equivalent coursework, choosing the right format is important. These courses are interactive and do not require an exam, making them a fast and efficient way to earn credit.
Common Questions About Utah CE
Can I take all of my CE online?
Yes. All 24 credit hours can be completed online, as long as at least 12 are done through classroom equivalent courses.
What happens if I miss my CE deadline?
Failure to complete your CE on time can result in late fees or license suspension. It’s important to complete your CE early and verify your credits have been properly reported.
Can I repeat courses?
Courses cannot be repeated for credit within the same renewal period. NobleCE provides a wide variety of options to help you meet requirements without duplication.
Fast Reporting and Easy Certificate Access
When you finish your course, NobleCE submits your credits. You can access your completion certificate through your online account.
