Deadline and renewal cycle
When is Oregon insurance CE due?
Complete Oregon CE by the last day of the renewal month. The Division recommends becoming CE compliant during the preceding month.
Individual producer licenses expire every other year on the last day of the birth month.

What should I do if completed credit is missing?
Reporting timing. Oregon providers have 15 days to enter course credit. After posting, NIPR updates may take at least 24 hours and longer around weekends or holidays.
1. Match the course number, completion date, license number or NPN, and credit category to the completion certificate.
2. Ask the provider to confirm the roster submission and correct a missing or rejected completion.
3. Recheck the official transcript. Contact the licensing authority if an accepted completion remains missing or incorrect.
Credits and eligibility
What courses count toward Oregon insurance CE?
Oregon CE credit is awarded only for a state-approved course completed through a state-approved provider. The course must match the required credit category and applicable license period.
- How many Oregon CE credits may be earned in one day?
- No more than 8 CE credits are awarded in one day. A licensee cannot complete the 24-credit requirement in fewer than three credited days.
- How much agency-management credit counts?
- No more than 4 approved agency-management credits may count toward the 24-credit renewal requirement.
- Can producer CE also satisfy Oregon adjuster CE?
- Yes. Approved CE completed for a producer license may count toward the adjuster requirement when the required ethics and law categories are satisfied.
- Must Oregon-law credit be completed separately?
- Yes. At least 3 of the 24 credits must cover Oregon statutes and administrative rules, including recent changes.
- Can I renew before completed CE appears on the transcript?
- No. Required CE must be posted to the Oregon record and transmitted to NIPR before the electronic renewal can proceed.

Product-specific training
What specialty training do Oregon insurance agents need?
Product-specific training applies only to the relevant business. Complete initial training before selling the product and track recurring training separately.
| Training | Who needs it? | Hours and frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Annuity best interest | Producers selling annuities | 4 initial hours After June 30, 2024, the complete four-credit course must include best-interest standards. |
| Long-term care | Producers selling long-term care insurance | 8 initial hours; 4 hours every 24 months The appointing insurer verifies continuing product-training compliance. |
| Flood insurance | Producers selling flood insurance | 3 initial hours; 2 hours each renewal cycle The recurring course covers state or federal flood law, NFIP, or private flood insurance. |
A product-training course counts toward ordinary CE only when it also carries the applicable state CE approval. Retain the completion certificate for insurer verification.

Common questions
Oregon insurance continuing education FAQ
Does completing Oregon CE renew my license?
No. CE completion and license renewal are separate unless the state expressly maintains the producer license through CE compliance. Verify reported compliance and active status.
Where can I find Noble’s Oregon CE courses?
Use the Oregon course catalog linked on this page. Match course approvals and categories to the official CE record before purchasing.
Should I rely on purchased course hours or the official transcript?
Use the official transcript. Purchased, incomplete, failed, unreported, or ineligible courses do not establish CE compliance.
How many Oregon insurance CE credits are required?
A resident producer subject to CE completes 24 credits every two years, including 3 professional-ethics credits and 3 Oregon-law credits.
Can all 24 Oregon CE credits be completed in one weekend?
No. Oregon awards no more than 8 CE credits per day, so 24 credits require at least three credited days.
